LumaBooth for Apple Reviews

We had a 25th wedding anniversary party and all of the guest loved the photo booth we setup. They had so much fun with it!

I’ve used Luma Booth for years! It has great features, it’s easy to use, and has been very reliable!

I bought this and have been pleased with it. I have used a more expensive program and for the money you can’t beat LumaBooth! I use their professional DSLRBooth program as well. Give it a shot you will love it!

Downloaded from App Store and had it setup in 15 minutes with artwork ready for event. Tested for hours in the office and was extremely stable. 360 is very smooth and being able to add music directly from the phone was a plus. Highly recommend for photo booth professionals. Nothing comes close for the price.

Super easy to use.

I’ve done 3 events with this software and want to like it, but at $20 a month for the service, it really should be more reliable software. Besides needing to babysit the iPad for occasional hangs, the releases are just dumped on you and screw you over. Take the virtual assistant. Custom prompts used to kind of work. You had to figure out to make audio .m4a and get it in your iTunes library, but they played. Now, custom audio prompts will only let you select .mp3 files, but it won’t actually import and use them. If you rename a .m4a to .mp3, you can import the file, but your event file becomes corrupt. I learned this while trying to change one prompt on an existing event. Tell the bride all that time recording is now for naught on her big day… There just doesn’t seem to be any QA, so the releases come in a flurry (look at version history) If you have automatic update on, you can come back to an event and find they broke you overnight. Again, nice set of features and conceptually decent service, just poor quality, at least on iOS. There is a link to submit a support request, but I’ve never gotten a response. YMMV.

I have been using Lumabooth for a couple years now and have never had problems until now. The software won’t even let me access anything in my photos gallery on my iPad, so it is difficult to use any images/photos to use to make a template. I have tried to use the files, on this iPad, etc…but these images are no longer in a transparent format. Makes it more difficult instead of “easier” as it says. unfortunate, because now I have to find another way to somehow make templates that will allow for my images to have a transparent background.

This app was awesome to use albeit a little expensive, they should have an option for people to buy it for a day or week as well!

Easy to set up and lots of good features to personalize event. Worked out really well for our wedding!

Great app Ability to use on two pads as well brilliant

This app isn’t perfect but it’s getting there! The things that are lacking seem more due to Apple’s restrictions than on the part of the developers. They are making great progress and continue to listen to feedback that they get to make this photo booth app even better. Keep up the good work!

This app is easy to use and set up events. It looks professional and has some great features. Only a few days in but so far so very good

Awesome app best around

This is as good as the photo booths I used to rent. Love it!

Loved how it lets you set up different events and customize the Photobooth and exporting settings.

I did a fair amount of research before choosing LumaBooth. I'm pleased with the decsion. It has all of the features I was looking for. Customizable welcome screen and templates. Options for photos, gifs, boomerang, and video. The price point is the best I found for an app with these options. LumaBooth also comes with a cloud service where all the images are automatically sent and you're able to give the link to the client where they can download everything. There are a handful of things I think could beimproved. I would really like for LumaBooth to have Undo & Redo buttons for when setting up events. Tweaking the templates and photo sizes and placements can be fickle. Undo & Redo buttons would be very helpful. Hopefully this will be added in a future update. Getting your templates into LumaBooth is also a bit weird. You have to email the template to yourself then download the template to your iCloud photos. You can then import that into LumaBooth. I have a friend with a different photobooth app and it's the same process for him. So this may be some sort of iPad thing. Though it would be nice to eliminate the extra step and be able to upload to my LumaBooth account. There are filters and stickers included as well. I like the idea of these but found them both a bit lacking. I didn't care for the filters and usually leave them turned off. The stickers are also limited and don't go very small when resizing. You are able to upload your own stickers. I have yet to try this. You have the option for how the user receives their pics. Text, email, QR code, airdrop. This is a minor thing but the text is listed as SMS. While that might technically be correct, not everyone knows what SMS means. Please just change the icon to say TEXT instead of SMS. Overall, I am quite pleased. I've done several events now. It's very user friendly. I receive compliments each time. I think the welcome screen customized to the event is a big part of this along with the multiple delivery options. I definitely recommend LumaBooth and look forward to it getting even better.

I have been using Luma Booth and Dslrs booth for about 5yrs now and absolutely love it! Definitely one of the best and easiest to use photo booth softwares there is.

I used it for one event so far and I've loved it. I did the $20/month subscription to make my event more personalized and it was worth it. It's kind of hard to figure out how to remove the standard Kate and Jack's wedding thing, but once you get that done the app is easy to use
