LumaBooth Dashboard Release Notes

A fix for duplicated events that use green screen.

Fixes

• Duplicating an event now keeps each green screen background paired with its foreground, so the copy looks the same as the original.

You can now change the background color of your photo layouts right on the dashboard.

Photo layouts

• Pick a new background color for any photo layout in the layout editor. Click an empty part of the layout to open the Background panel and choose your color.
• Background color changes can be undone and are saved with the layout like any other edit.

Horizontal photo strips upload at the right size again.

Fixes

• A horizontal 2x6 strip layout (1800 x 600) now uploads as a landscape 2x6 layout. Before, it was read as a 6x4 and showed up stretched.

Fixes for how new events sync with the booth app.

Improvements

• The "Get Ready" and "Recording" labels on new events now appear in your account's language.
• Clearing a print label (like the print button text) now brings back the default wording in your language instead of leaving it blank.

Fixes

• Fixed a bug with how events created on the dashboard sync with the booth app.
• The virtual attendant's "share your photos" prompt now plays on events created from the dashboard. It was silent before.
• Filters on events created from the dashboard now apply on iPhone and iPad.
• The dashboard no longer warns that an event is outdated when you switch to an older event. Older events open and save normally.

A small fix for layouts that refused to save.

Fixes

• Editing a layout now saves reliably, even when the layout file is missing one of its images. Before this, changes to such a layout looked like they went through but never stuck, with no message explaining why.
• When a layout is missing an image, the editor now tells you so ("An image is missing from your template") and drops that empty layer, so the rest of your layout keeps working as it did.

Fixes for the mobile gallery, device screen sizes, remote-change notices.

Gallery

• On a phone, the Delete button is no longer pushed off the selection bar when the language uses longer labels. The actions wrap onto their own lines now, so Delete stays reachable in every language.

Devices

• The device picker shows each screen's real resolution, the same number your operating system and the spec sheet show, instead of a smaller scaled figure. A 1920 x 1080 monitor at 125% scaling now reads as 1920 x 1080, and an iPhone 15 Pro reads as 2556 x 1179.

Settings sync

• The "settings updated from another device" notice now appears on the event dashboard and on every settings page, instead of only a handful of them. Shares, upload, and analytics stay quiet.
• Opening a setting inside the booth app no longer repeats a notice the app has already shown you.
• That notice is now translated.

The dashboard now speaks five more languages, and gallery slideshows play every video all the way through.

Languages

• The dashboard is now available in German, Spanish, French, Italian, and Portuguese. Pick your language in Account settings. On your first visit it follows your browser language.
• Visitors can choose their language on the home, login, sign up, and forgot password pages before signing in.

Online gallery

• Slideshow videos now play all the way to the end before the next slide starts. Galleries with more than one video used to cut each video off after a few seconds.
• Slides fade into each other, so there is no black screen between photos or videos, even on a slow connection.
• Slideshow videos start clean, without a play button or seek bar over them.

Two fixes: the Messaging add-on page now shows your card on file, and long event names no longer squeeze the event page's action buttons.

Subscriptions

• The Messaging add-on page wrongly said "No payment method on file" even when a card was on the account. It now shows the card and lets you add or update it.

Events

• A long event name no longer squeezes the action buttons on the event page. The name is shortened with "..." and the full name shows on hover.

The slideshow now keeps up with your event as it happens, and the dashboard helps you fix a gallery whose name got out of step with the event.

Slideshow

• New photos and videos now show up in the slideshow on their own, within about 20 seconds of being captured. No more reloading the page during an event.
• A fresh capture plays as the very next slide, then joins the normal rotation.
• A slideshow opened on an empty event starts playing as soon as the first photo arrives.

Events

• If an event was renamed on the booth but the online gallery still shows the old name, the event page now points this out and lets you pick which name to keep. One click updates the gallery link to match.
• The events list shows the gallery link name when it differs from the event name, and searching for either name finds the event.
• The online gallery preview shows the name guests actually see on the gallery link.

Subscriptions

• The LumaShare subscription page now reads "LumaShare for Apple/Android".

A fix for the event gallery: bulk delete and move now cover every file you select.

Events

• Deleting or moving more than 1000 files at once now includes every selected file. Previously only the first 999 were affected while the dashboard still reported success.
• If the server confirms fewer files than you selected, the gallery now tells you how many were handled and asks you to try again for the rest, instead of reporting success.

The "Show event date" option from fotoShare is back, so guests can see the date of your event on the online gallery again.

The online gallery background image is back on the free plan, and uploads in the gallery editor are more reliable.

Online gallery

• The gallery background image is available on every plan again, as it was in fotoShare. It sits under the background color in the gallery editor, on desktop and on mobile.
• Each event now shows its own background image in the editor. Previously the last uploaded image could appear on every event you opened, and a saved background did not show up again after a reload, so it could not be removed.
• When you upload a background image or an event banner, the tile keeps showing "Uploading..." until the image is fully saved, instead of looking done while the upload is still running.

Subscriptions

• The plan comparison now lists the event background color, background image and text color as included on the free plan.

This release makes slideshows look right on big screens and polishes the referral page.

Fixes

• Slideshow photos and videos now always fit the screen. On wide monitors and TVs, portrait photos and photo strips were cropped so only the top showed. The full picture is now always visible, on any screen.
• The Subscribe buttons on the referral page now match the dashboard's brand color.

Referral savings now show up before you pay.

Improved

• Subscribing through a referral link now shows the saving on the subscription page, next to the price, instead of it only appearing once you reach the payment step.

Referral links work again. People following a referral were being turned away, and the person who referred them was not being credited.

Fixed

• Following a referral link no longer tells you that you already have a subscription when you have never subscribed. You can subscribe through the link as intended, and the person who referred you is credited for it.
• The referral page now names the person whose link you followed, instead of showing the same anonymous wording to everyone.

A fix for anyone managing their subscription with the dashboard translated into their own language.

Subscriptions

• When your browser translates the dashboard (with Google Translate, for example), changing the number of devices on the manage subscription page now updates the device count and the price preview correctly. Before, those numbers could freeze at an earlier value, so the total on screen did not match what you would actually be charged.

Renaming an event now sticks for events from the older Windows booth, and old fotoshare.co links take you where you were actually headed.

Event names

• Renaming an event now holds when you reload the page. On events created with the older Windows booth, the name used to snap back to whatever the booth called it originally, which made the rename look like it had been ignored.
• Searching for an event by its new name now finds it. Renamed events from the older Windows booth were coming back with no results.
• The event lists you see when moving photos into another event, or when duplicating an event, now show each event's current name rather than its original one.

Signing in

• Old fotoshare.co links now take you to the page you were actually after once you sign in, instead of dropping you on the events list to hunt for it yourself.

Getting to your payments and invoices from the dashboard just got a lot easier, and renaming an event finally behaves the way you would expect.

Payments

• The Transactions button is back on your events. Open an event that takes booth payments and it takes you straight to that event's payments in your own Stripe dashboard. No more opening each booth to pull the numbers.
• There is now a dedicated page, linked from the support article, where you can disconnect the Stripe account your booth payments go to, so you can connect a different one.

Billing

• fotoShare Cloud subscribers could not see their invoices in the dashboard. Now they can, on the same Billing tab every other subscription has.

Events

• Renaming an event works properly. Clearing the old name no longer makes the box disappear mid-edit, an empty name is never saved by accident, and a confirm button inside the box makes it obvious how to keep your change.

LumaBooth now runs on Android as well as Apple, and the dashboard has caught up: names, device icons, update prompts, and download links all know the difference between Apple, Android, and Windows.

Subscriptions and downloads

• Your LumaBooth and LumaShare subscriptions now say "For Apple / Android", so it is clear at a glance what each one covers. The Windows subscription reads "For Windows (dslrBooth)".
• Each app has a download button per platform that takes you straight to the App Store or Google Play. On a computer you get a QR code to scan with the phone or tablet you are installing on.
• The Apple tab now spells out that App Store subscriptions do not cover Android devices, with a short explanation of what a direct subscription covers instead.

Devices

• Every device in your Devices list shows an Apple, Android, or Windows icon, so you can tell your booths apart at a glance.
• Update prompts follow each platform's own releases, so a device is only flagged when there is genuinely a newer version available for it.
• The update count on the Active devices card now matches the update arrows in the list.

This release adds quick access to Booth Copilot and cleans up a few visual details.

New

• Open Booth Copilot straight from your account menu. It signs you in automatically, no extra login needed.

Fixes and improvements

• Fixed UI issues in the dashboard.

More control over printing and capture, plus fixes for layouts, screens, and subscriptions.

New

• Flip or mirror captured photos and videos, so prints and downloads match what guests saw on screen during capture.
• Customize the printing message, the "How many copies?" prompt, and the print button label from print settings.
• The dashboard home now shows a banner when one of your devices is running an older app version, with a link to what's new.

Screen editor

• You can now resize and position the live view layer on your welcome screens, controlling exactly how the camera preview appears on your iOS or Windows booth. It has its own on/off switch, styling options, and a one-click fullscreen action.

Fixes

• Fonts, sizes, and bold or italic styling chosen for survey answers, signatures, and text in a photo layout are now saved with the layout.
• Duplicating an event no longer loses the "Start App in Full Screen" and virtual keyboard settings used by Windows booths.
• The update button now appears when switching a subscription from monthly to annual billing.

This update makes billing easier to manage and improves settings on tablets.

Billing

• You can now add your billing name, VAT / tax ID, and address in account settings, and they will appear on your invoices. The address form adapts to your country.
• The card-update link in renewal reminder emails now opens the payment form right away, instead of leaving you to find it in the dashboard.

Tablets

• Layout and overlay size options now appear when managing your event on a tablet in portrait mode.

A small update that cleans up page titles across the dashboard.

Improvements

• Browser tabs now show the page name first, so it's easier to tell your dashboard tabs apart at a glance.
• Creating a new event from the LumaBooth app now shows "Create new event" at the top of the screen instead of a cut-off tagline.

Fixes for the dashboard inside the LumaBooth Android app.

Fixes

• Inside the Android app, the editors no longer show a back button that could exit into the dashboard
• Opening an editor link on a first visit now loads reliably instead of showing "Page not found"

Improvements

You can now configure more of your booth app settings directly from the dashboard.

Stickers

• You can now upload your own stickers, alongside the built-in graphics library, for guests to choose from and add to their photos.

Filters & Effects

• You can now upload a custom LUT file to apply your own color grading to event photos, with a live preview in the dashboard.

This release improves how your devices are recognized in the dashboard.

Device Management

• Your devices now show accurate, up-to-date model names and types, including newer models and a clearer split between Mac and Windows.
• If your device has more than one screen connected, you can now choose which screen and screen size to use.

This release fixes logo selection on your gallery, lets you move photos into a brand-new event, and restores template gallery filters.

Online Gallery

• You can now choose the dark version of your gallery logo and have it show and save correctly.

Dashboard

• When moving selected photos, you can now create a brand-new event to move them into instead of only picking from existing events.

Template Gallery

• Your category and keyword filters now stay put after you open a theme and close it, so you no longer lose your place.

This release adds new overlay templates for your soccer-themed events.

Templates

• 23 new Soccer 2026 themed overlay templates are now available in the template browser.

This release adds a new GIF size option and makes the size labels clearer.

Capture Settings

• You can now choose a new 3:2 rectangle GIF size (1080×720) for your event's GIFs, alongside the existing rectangle and square sizes.
• GIF size labels now show their aspect ratio (for example "Rectangle 1080p 16:9"), so it's easier to pick the right shape at a glance.

This release brings new 360 and Slow-mo controls to the dashboard, plus Canva PDF template imports.

360 & Slow-mo

• Added 360 and Slow-mo timelines to the dashboard, with a visual editor and live preview.
• Soundtracks you remove on the booth now correctly disappear from the dashboard, so what you see always matches your booth.
• Fixed 360, Slow-mo, and video clips getting mixed up, and intros and outros now save reliably in your Video Booth settings.

Templates

• Importing Canva PDF designs as layered, editable templates is now more reliable.

Welcome screen

• Added a toggle to show or hide the buttons on your start screen.
