This release is all about reliability. Both fixes protect the two moments that matter most at an event: opening the app, and getting the camera live.

Stability

• Fixed a rare issue that could stop LumaBooth from opening at all, with every restart hitting the same wall. The app now starts up normally even when its internal logging runs into trouble.
• The camera screens no longer freeze while the camera gets ready. Opening the capture screen, or a start screen with live view turned on, could lock the app up long enough for Android to call it unresponsive. The camera now warms up in the background, and a short message appears if it needs a moment longer than usual.

A maintenance release. Everything you use at your events behaves exactly as before, with improvements under the hood that help us track down and fix problems faster.

Behind the Scenes

• Improved crash reporting, so a problem that shows up at a live event points us straight to its cause and the fix reaches you sooner.

LumaBooth for Android is here. Your tablet becomes a complete photo booth, with photo, GIF, video, and 360 slow motion sessions, on-site printing, guest sharing, and every event setting managed right from the booth.

Booth Modes & Capture

• Photo, GIF, video, and 360 slow motion sessions, each with overlays, intro and outro clips, and background music.
• 360 and slow motion clips follow the speed you set for the event, and the saved original matches what your guests see.
• Frame rate handling during 360 and boomerang recording keeps clips smooth on a wide range of tablets.
• Sessions set to no countdown start recording right away instead of pausing on the capture screen.
• A camera picker lets you switch between the tablet's cameras, with the front camera ready by default.
• Cancelling a session mid-capture brings up a clear, easy-to-tap confirmation that fits comfortably on phone screens.
• Layout previews scroll sideways, so every layout attached to the event is within reach.
• Choosing a layout scrolls the full thumbnail into view and keeps the selection marker visible.
• The layout picker is laid out for portrait phones and tablets, matching the desktop and iPad apps.
• Guests can retake a session straight from the sharing screen before anything is sent.

Surveys & Disclaimers

• Survey and disclaimer wording appears on every guest button exactly as you entered it.
• The first survey question opens with the keyboard ready, so guests start answering without an extra tap.
• Survey titles and buttons carry enough contrast to stay readable over any background image.
• One tap exports collected survey answers to a spreadsheet file.

Event Setup & Dashboard

• Events you create or duplicate from the dashboard are selected automatically when you return to the booth.
• Copying event settings starts from the event you already have selected instead of asking you to pick one.
• The in-booth menu has clearer icons, a two-column layout on phones, and the current event right at the top.
• Settings screens opened from the dashboard show the name of the screen you are on.
• Choosing print settings from the dashboard opens the booth's own print setup, where your printer lives.
• The welcome screen editor keeps the top menu within reach, so you can move straight on to another setting.
• Welcome screen and layout editors save your changes automatically when you close them.
• Background images upload to the welcome screen editor directly from the tablet.
• Capture settings open without asking you to sign in a second time.
• Creating an event and opening link sharing work from every screen in the menu.
• A new account with no events yet gets a clear start screen and a direct way to create its first one.
• The account screen greets you in plain language when you first open the app.
• Removed a duplicate capture entry that opened the same settings twice, and the Dashboard entry that repeated views already built into the booth.
• The "Create new event" button fits on a single line.
• Asset downloads run all the way to 100% before the progress dialog closes.
• Events referencing files that are no longer available open without an error.
• Android tablets appear in the dashboard's target device list, so remote settings reach them.

Printing

• Support for a second printer, with layouts routed to either one.
• Opening a past print session views it only. Nothing prints unless you press print.
• Print counts match the prints you can actually open.
• Selecting a network printer shows what is happening while nearby printers are discovered.
• Print setup scrolls smoothly, and the alignment controls are easier to adjust.

Guest Sharing

• Email sharing opens as soon as a session finishes.
• Videos sent by email arrive as the actual video, and clips too large to attach send a thumbnail and a link instead.
• Sharing options appear in the same order across every session type.
• Guest screens use high-contrast white controls and text, so they stay legible over any theme color.
• Turning link sharing off shows a clear "OFF" state and asks for confirmation first.

Sharing Activity & Uploads

• Pending totals follow the event you have selected, with the all-events total shown only when all events are selected.
• Totals after sharing several items by email add up correctly.
• Long-running events load their share history in pages, keeping memory use low on lower-spec tablets.
• Buttons on the sharing activity screen match the rounded style used throughout the app.
• Export and delete controls sit at a comfortable height on phone screens.
• Print records carry a print icon rather than a cloud symbol.
• The pending upload count in the menu is larger and easier to read at a glance.

Look & Feel

• Thumbnails are larger in portrait on phones, so a particular session is quicker to find.
• Videos in the gallery use a familiar play indicator, consistent with the other LumaBooth apps.
• Smoothed the edges of the gallery button, which could look jagged on some high-density screens.
• Alerts, including the no-internet message, use in-app styled dialogs with a Retry that reconnects properly.

Accounts & Subscriptions

• A confirm-password field when creating an account means a mistyped password cannot lock you out.
• Sign-in and registration screens are laid out for phones as well as tablets.
• Passwords typed into the app stay out of the keyboard's suggestion bar.
• An expired subscription is explained in a dialog with Subscribe and Manage Subscription buttons that open in the app.
• Subscription checks send full device details, so a subscription bought on another platform is recognized correctly.

Stability & Device Support

• Opening a guest sharing screen while photos are still uploading no longer causes a crash.
• The screen-pinning prompt stops reappearing every time you return to the capture screen.
• Lock PIN keypad stays put as digits are entered and erased.
• Rebuilt the embedded settings browser for reliability, adding multi-file selection and dependable recovery after a dropped connection.
