This release focuses on stability improvements, addressing several crashes that affected users during sessions and at app startup.
Stability
- Improved reliability for brand-new accounts where the app could fail to sync event preferences correctly, leaving events in a broken state that prevented launching a session
- Fixed a crash that could occur when a camera was disconnected while the app was in the process of closing
- Resolved a startup crash affecting some users where a component version mismatch caused the template editor to fail immediately on launch
This release brings meaningful improvements to multi-monitor setups, faster gallery navigation, and several stability fixes that address startup crashes and session failures due to new Windows Security restrictions.
Multi-Monitor Support
- Improved multi-monitor support so that effects selection and other popups always appear on the correct screen when multiple monitors are connected
Stability & Startup
- Resolved a startup crash affecting some Windows systems where certain app components could be incorrectly blocked by Windows security features, preventing the app from launching
- Improved early crash detection so that any startup errors are now captured and reported before they can silently disappear
Events & Sessions
- Fixed an issue where corrupt or empty overlay files (0×0 pixel, unnamed PNGs) could cause sessions to fail — these invalid assets are now safely skipped
- Fixed an issue where duplicating an event could generate overlay files with missing names or missing file extensions, which could cause session failures
Photo Preview
- Fixed an issue where photo preview thumbnails appeared as squares and cropped subjects out of frame — previews now display correctly centered and proportioned
