This release improves camera exposure controls, giving photographers more precise control over how photos and videos are captured during events.
Camera & Exposure
- Added separate manual exposure settings for photos/GIFs and videos/boomerangs, allowing independent control over each capture mode
- Replaced the exposure bias slider for photo and GIF capture with dedicated Shutter Speed and ISO controls for more precise manual adjustments
- Added an on/off toggle for manual camera settings — when disabled, the camera uses automatic exposure so you can quickly switch between manual and auto modes
- Improved video and boomerang exposure timing so the camera locks exposure at the end of the countdown, ensuring guests are correctly exposed once they are in position
- Resolved a crash that could occur on devices running iOS 13 or later related to camera quality settings
This release delivers significant improvements to camera exposure controls, along with fixes for session startup issues, printing delays, sync reliability, and app stability.
Camera & Exposure
- Added separate manual exposure controls for Photo/GIF and Video/Boomerang modes, giving you precise control over shutter speed and ISO for photo sessions while keeping the familiar exposure bias setting for video
- Improved the auto-exposure timing for Video and Boomerang sessions so the camera now locks exposure at the end of the countdown, ensuring guests are properly lit when they step into frame
- Resolved an issue where switching between photo and video modes could cause the camera preview to flicker
- Fixed an issue where the white balance toggle did not respond correctly in landscape orientation within camera settings
Session & Printing
- Resolved an issue where tapping the Print or Start Session button could fail to start the session
- Improved reliability of the camera session startup, with a clear alert message if the camera cannot be initialized due to a hardware conflict
- Fixed a significant delay between tapping the print button and the printer beginning to print, which affected certain Canon Selphy printers on Wi-Fi connections
Sync & Events
- Improved sync reliability so that events and templates stay consistent across multiple iPads, including better handling of files containing special characters or apostrophes in their names
- Fixed an issue where deleting an event on one device could still show that event on other devices after reconnecting to the internet
- Resolved an issue where copying an event could result in the wrong template being associated with the new event
Stability
- Fixed a crash that could occur when selecting a font for a print layout while another popup was already visible
