End of Life for dslrBooth 6 and dslrBooth for Mac

We want to take a moment to inform our valued customers that dslrBooth for Windows v6 and dslrBooth for Mac have officially reached their end of life. This version was discontinued in June 2023 with the launch of dslrBooth v7 for Windows and LumaBooth for Mac, and as of March 31, 2025, certain features will no longer be supported.

What This Means for You

If you are still using dslrBooth v6 or dslrBooth for Mac, the following features will no longer function:

• Uploads – Online uploads to cloud services or social media platforms.
• QR Codes – QR code generation and scanning for photo/video.
• SMS Sharing – The ability to send photo links via SMS.
• Email Sharing – The ability send photo/videos by email.

Capture, processing, and printing without sharing will continue to work.

Additionally, renewal licenses for dslrBooth have not been offered since June 2023. These renewal licenses were required to maintain cloud functionality, which is no longer supported.

Why Is This Happening?

Technology evolves, and so do the platforms and services that dslrBooth integrates with. Many third-party services have made changes that are no longer compatible with older software versions. As we continue to improve and innovate with dslrBooth v7 and beyond, it is no longer feasible to maintain compatibility with v6.

Upgrade to the Latest Version

To ensure you have access to the latest features, security updates, and customer support, we highly recommend upgrading to the latest version of dslrBooth or LumaBooth for Mac. Our most recent versions offer enhanced performance, AI background removal, support for vertical videos, fully customizable screens, GoPro support (Windows), Sony camera support, Canon/Nikon mirrorless camera support, and new sharing options.

If you’re still using dslrBooth v6 or dslrbooth for Mac, now is the time to upgrade to continue enjoying a seamless experience.
